Johann PICHLER was born in Pachersdorf bei Linz in Upper Austria in 1899. He was an ordinary worker and a Jehovah’s Witness. On September 26, 1939 he was sentenced to death by a Military Tribunal in Salzburg for refusing to serve in the military. He was shot at the military shooting range outside of Salzburg in Glanegg, along with another Jehovah’s Witness named Josef WEGSCHEIDER.
